However, the President stated Ms. Haley had informed him about six months back that she wished to take a rest at the time his government reached its next anniversary. "This was a boon to go into the U.N. with body armor every day and defend America," Ms. Haley, seated alongside President Trump in the Oval Office, told reporters. "I will never truly step aside from fighting for our country. But I will tell you that I think it's time."
